It doesn't harm the console but it can occasionally be annoying and unfortunately, its something you have to live with as a HEN user. I don't have all the details but I believe when the PS3 detects some type of violation of its intended protection on some level that it will freeze the console. The only thing you should be aware of is that the HEN hacking method is not 100% consistent, basically, there is a slim chance that when you run unsigned code (such as opening Multiman or Retroarch that you will get a black screen. You can use Multiman to update games if you want but its not 100% up-to-date for all games. Yes, a HEN'd PS3 runs just as well as a normal one, games will run exactly the same as they do on a non-HEN PS3.Īll my games are updated to the latest version, game updates do not require a connection to PSN so its safe to update them all from XMB.
